Based on recent data, the number of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the number of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to listen to individuals who have reached 100, their relatives or close ones, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and shifts.
