Paramount Skydance Will Remove Around 2,000 United States Roles – News

Paramount Skydance will begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are likely, as the firm intending to announce all specifics during its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports had indicated the company planned to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.

By December 2024, Paramount employed nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 contract workers.

The company has not yet commented to a request for comment.
