Previous British Broadcasting Corporation Advisers Face Parliamentary Questioning In the Wake of Assertions of Bias in Leaked Document
We start with inquiries from Tory Member of Parliament Caroline Dinenage, that oversees the panel.
She opens by giving details to the disclosed document written by Michael Prescott and published in a national newspaper.
"I don't want the BBC tilting this way or that way, I simply desire it balanced, unbiased and just," he says.
In response to a query if he thinks the BBC is systematically partial, Prescott answers: "No, I do not. To be clear, a great deal the British Broadcasting Corporation creates is world class - including informative and fictional content."
Nevertheless, he states: "There remains significant effort that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."
The second former external BBC adviser interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation extremely earnestly and that it maintains a "ongoing system and lively discussion" regarding dynamic and complex issues.
"Did the BBC prepared to have a proper discussion and exchange and act accordingly?" she reflects. "As I see it, indeed, they were."
